ITINERARY

3 DAY DESERT ADD-ON to ERG CHEBBI*

DAY 1
Depart Fez at 0800. Overnight at Auberge Festival in Todra Gorge.  North of Todra, the route is magnificent and you counter virtually no other tourists. There is a wonderful gorge on this route, which is not identified on most maps. En route from Fez, you will pass through Ifrane (Morocco´s take on Switzerland) and  Ifrane National park at Azrou, home to Barbary Macaque monkeys and cedar forests. The trip is 8 hours plus stops.

DAY 2
Depart at 9AM. The trip from Todra is 5 hours via Erfoud and Rissani to arrive at the edge of civilization and the red dunes of the Sahara. You will transfer to a 4x4 to arrive at your luxury camp - which is the most beautifual camp at Chebbi.
It has a lovely location, well away from other desert campers. Spend the afternoon trekking to the highest dunes in the area (this is harder than it looks!), enjoying a tea in the camp or taking a camel ride. There’s meditation, yoga and guided walks available to you!
Then a lovely dinner by candlelight, a bonfire, music and the best stargazing on the planet!
Overnight at Merzouga Luxury Desert Camp

DAY 3
After a delicious breakfast in your camp, we return to Fez via The Tiz Gorge. You follow the same route from Er-Rich. The trip is 9 hours plus stops. The cheese shop that sells no cheese near Ifrane make an entertaining break!

Breakfast and dinner are included and camel rides are included!

Your Morocco packing list, plus - flashlight, sunglasses (preferably with sides), moist wipes, lip balm, long scarf for face and head.
